Two guys faced a Mexican cartel
The Haunting Truck on the Road
Two men were exploring the city, eager to uncover its secrets. The streets were alive with neon signs and the distant hum of traffic. As they ventured further from the bustling center, the roads became quieter, the lights dimmer, and the air heavier with an eerie silence.
Driving down an unfamiliar highway, a thick fog rolled in, swallowing the world around them. The streetlights flickered, casting strange, shifting shadows. Then, without warning, a massive truck emerged from the mist. Its headlights blazed like twin eyes in the darkness, its rusted frame covered in strange, unreadable symbols. It rumbled forward slowly, blocking the road ahead.
The driver tightened his grip on the wheel. “Where did that come from?” he muttered under his breath.
His companion leaned forward, his pulse quickening. “Maybe it’s just a trucker taking a break,” he suggested, though doubt crept into his voice.
But then, something strange happened. The truck, with no driver in sight, began to move—slowly at first, then with an unnatural lurch. Its engine roared, shaking the ground beneath them. The headlights flickered, as if the truck itself was alive.
The driver instinctively reached for the gear shift, ready to reverse, but the car wouldn’t start. Panic set in as the truck inched closer, its towering form casting an overwhelming shadow.
Then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, the truck’s headlights blinked off. The massive vehicle rolled back into the mist, swallowed by the fog as if it had never existed.
For a long moment, neither man spoke. The engine of their car finally roared to life, breaking the silence. Without another word, they turned around and sped back toward the city, leaving the haunted highway behind.
But the question remained—was it just an abandoned truck, or had they encountered something far more sinister?
